Introduction



 After reviewing the list of ten questions prepared by my Learning Team and Active Listening Skills presented in the text and throughout the class threads, a focus group of two teachers was held (animated video). The focus group answered questions on the characteristics of an effective coach and the support these teachers expected from the coach. Also included in the assignment is an active listening chart. Along with a discussion of skills used,how they were used and an explanation of the effectiveness. Finally, an analysis of the focus group responses is compared with the research on Instructional Coaching and cognitive coaching found in the text as to how expectations align and differ.
